At Kitty Talks, we’re committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.  This policy explains when and why we collect personal data about people who visit our website, how this data will be used, the circumstances under which it may be disclosed to others and how it is kept secure.

Who are we?

We are Kitty Talks, a podcast series of life stories hosted by Kitty Waters. Coaching, Mentoring and online courses also available.  

How do we collect information from you?

We collect information from you in the following ways:
- When you visit our website
- When you enter your details onto our website
- When you purchase an online course 
- When you join our social media pages at Facebook, Instagram,YouTube or Twitter
- What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. We do not collect information about payment methods from you, which are held by our third party payment processors (ticket source and PayPal), who specialise in secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:
- Send you confirmation of bookings that you have made
- Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you such as our newsletters or details of upcoming events.
- Seek your views or comments on our services

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond Kitty Talks for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

We collect all payments for events via Stripe or PayPal, who have their own secure online payment pages, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.

Your Data

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us.  We only hold data from individuals who have previously come to our events and opted to receive communications from us.   We will not use or process your data for any other purpose, unless required to do so by law, nor will your data be kept for longer than is necessary. 

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email ask@kittytalks.com.

How you can access and update your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us. If we hold inaccurate information about you, please email us at ask@kittytalks.com.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information that Kitty Talks holds about you, for which we have an administrative charge of £10.

We do not hold personal information other than your name, address, email address, telephone number and website details. If you have given us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely, to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information.

Non-sensitive details (such as your your email address) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Any information you transmit to us, is done at your own risk, although we always make our best efforts to ensure that your information is secure.

Additionally, you have the right to request deletion of your details or object to our processing of your details. You can do so at any time by emailing ask@kittytalks.com. Under those circumstances, we will no longer keep your details, or process your details, unless we are required to keep them as a matter of law or unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
